Rise of a Champion: Loud about Legacy
A closer look at the platform behind Rise — and how legacy is built, not branded.

Founder's Note
Some things only make sense when you finally put them in the room. Rise of a Champion was that moment — where the work showed itself.
Not just TXMX, but everything behind it: the build, the belief, the late nights, the connections that only happen when you stay in it long enough. This wasn’t about spectacle. It was about work.
No shortcuts. No noise. Just the work, turned all the way up.

Made From Blood, Sweat & Tears: The Footwork Behind TXMX
For TXMX Boxing, the work has never been about spectacle first. It’s been about foundation: late nights, early mornings, missed weekends, production setbacks, creative rewrites, financial risk, and the kind of emotional investment that can make grown men ...

Digital Footwork: Engineering a Platform Worthy of the 210
I’m a son of San Antonio who found my space in tech later in life. Transitioning from the physical labor of our neighborhoods to the world of software development taught me one thing: the tools change, but the work ethic remains the same.

The Sound of Generational Excellence
Before she ever walked the Rise of a Champion red carpet, Vanita Leo entered our world through Vemos Vamos — 434 Media’s multicultural brand studio. We were genuinely drawn to her voice, her story, and the way she carries Tejano culture with modern intent...

Rise of a Champion: Loud About Legacy
San Antonio has long been home to world-class athletes—but the stories behind that excellence haven’t always received the structured, elevated platforms they deserve. This month, Rise of a Champion changed that narrative—and set a new standard for how the city’s legacy is framed, produced, and presented.
Produced by 434 Media x ICON Media and powered by ICONTALKS x TXMX Boxing, the invitation-only event transformed the Tobin Center into a cinematic celebration of San Antonio’s boxing heritage—honoring four of the city’s elite fighters and a cultural icon whose influence reaches far beyond the ring. More than a tribute, the evening positioned San Antonio’s boxing legacy as a national storyline and laid the foundation for a recurring series: Rise of a Champion—a platform built to spotlight generational greatness in the 210.
San Antonio isn’t an emerging market for athletic and cultural leadership—our voice is what’s emerging. And Rise made it clear: we’ve got a lot to be loud about.
Perhaps the most notable aspect of the evening was the composition of the room: nearly 175 guests representing technology, media, education, sports, entertainment, film, nonprofit leadership, and investment. This cross-sector presence signaled the deeper purpose of the event: to build connective tissue between the people shaping San Antonio’s future—while honoring the champions who built its past.
